Antioch, CA...September 16...Kenny Shrader of Pacheco won the 20 lap IMCA Sport Modified Main Event Saturday night at Antioch Speedway. This was his fourth win of the season, and he won the championship over Jason Ryan Jr of Oakley by just two points.

The championship night format put incoming point leader Shrader on the pole and he bolted into the immediate lead ahead of Jason Ryan Jr and Mark Garner of Antioch The race ran 13 laps before a yellow flag for Jace Wright of Gazelle slowed the action. Shrader continued to lead the restart ahead of Ryan and Tommy Fraser of Antioch. After another yellow flag a lap later, Shrader resumed command. Ryan gave it everything he had, but Shrader prevailed for the championship clinching victory. Fraser settled for third ahead of Garner and Dylan Connelly of Antioch..

Buddy Kniss of Oakley took the early lead ahead of Ray Trimble of Auburn. They ran that way during the first 10 laps of the race. A smoking Matt Davis of Marysville spun from third in Turn 2 after contact for a Lap 10 yellow flag. Kniss continued to lead the restart with Slaney making a bold move into second. A bit of contact racing in Turn 4 on the 12th lap gained Slaney the lead from Kniss, and contact sent Kniss spinning in Turn 4 for a yellow on Lap 17. Micheli was penalized to the rear of his part in the incident. Slaney led the restart and brought it home to victory ahead of Rod Oliver of Yuba City, Trimble, Justin Yeager of South San Francisco and Micheli.

Bob Newberry of Brentwood won the 25 lap Wingless Spec Sprint Main Event. Newberry had a win get away from him with two laps to go at the previous race, and this was his first win of the season. It was also his 22nd career win in this division at Antioch Speedway.

Newberry had a front row start for the feature and bolted into the early lead ahead of Ethon Lanfri and point leader Jarrett Soares of Gilroy. They ran in that order throughout the first half of the race. Mark Hanson of Petaluma was fourth and made a low pass in Turn 2 on Lap 20 to grab third. Newberry kept catching slower traffic but made quick moves to keep Lanfri at bay as he brought it home to a satisfying win. Hanson ended up third ahead of Shawn Arriaga of Antioch and Jacob Tuttle of Oakley.

David Michael Rosa of Antioch won the 20 lap Delta Dwarf Car Main Event. This was his second win of the season. 2020 champion Travis Day of Concord took the early lead ahead of Pete Piantanida of Discovery Bay. Rosa moved into third early on and took second from Piantanida on Lap 6. Rosa made an inside pass on Day on Lap 7 to gain the lead. Piantanida slipped past Day for second on Lap 12, and a yellow flag waved on Lap 13 when Sean Catucci and point leader Chance Russell of Antioch crashed in Turn 4, eliminating both. Rosa led the restart with Piantanida moving into second. Piantanida kept it close, but David Michael Rosa brought it home to the well-earned victory. Day settled for third ahead of David Rosa of Antioch and Larry Clover of Prunedale.

Point leader Tom Davis of Los Molinos won his eighth 20 lap Print Club Mini Stock Main Event. Mike Cover of Santa Rosa took the early lead over Tony Quinonez of Corning and Davis. An inside move on the back stretch gave Davis the lead on Lap 3 with Quinonez and Cover coming together in Turn 4. Cover spun, moving reigning champion Tom Brown of Santa Rosa into third. The race had no yellow flag slow downs, and Davis held command by nearly a straightaway by the time the race concluded. Quinonez was second with Brown the final lead lap finisher in third. Laina Bales of Antioch and Patrick Kelley of Clovis rounded out the Top 5.

Mike Learn of Petaluma won the 20 lap Super Stock Main Event. Randy Miramontez of Santa Rosa hit the Turn 4 wall and headed for the pits on Lap 3. Freethy regained second on Lap 4 as Ridgeway made a pit stop with a flat tire. Learn continued to lead the way on the restart and scored the win ahead of Freethy Dustin Smith of Santa Rosa, Ridgeway and Miramontez.
