7Industries Sprinter Heads into Antioch for KWS Round #13
PETERSEN MEDIA: After three weeks of unfortunate luck with the Golden State King of the West Series, Andy Gregg and his Bret Ervin Racing team are hoping lucky stop #13 can be the turning point of their season as the ultra competitive series comes down the home-stretch of the 2011 season.
After getting upside down in two of the last three features, Gregg is hoping that the return trip to the Antioch Speedway, where the series kicked the season off, will help get the team back on to the success that they had in the early part of the season.
“We’ve just had some bad luck the last week,” said Gregg. “Some of it has been driver error, and some of it has just been horrible luck. I feel bad for my guys, my sponsors, and Bret Ervin, so hopefully we can turn this thing around this weekend.”
In the season opener back in April, Gregg won his heat race with an expiring rear-end, before missing out on the dash due to making repairs, where he then battled in the top five all night before tallying a seventh place finish in the inaugural feature.
Fans are encouraged to make the drive to the Antioch Speedway this Saturday night as gorgeous weather is forcasted for another action packed night of KWS action. The front gates open at 5pm, and time trials are scheduled for 6:30 pm with racing action to immediately follow.
Andy and his Bret Ervin Racing team would like to thank 7industries.com, Ervin Sales Group, Wheel Vintiques, College Cyclery, The Hot Rod Shop, Autism Awareness, Guts Racing, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Jiffy-Tite, C&R Racing, Eagle Chassis, Meyer Motorsports, Hinchman Racing, and Bell for their support as they follow the 2011 King of the West Series.
